Google to Roll Out Pay-Per-View Movies on YouTube

Recently, Google launched a free movie channel service that comes with a catalogue offering 400 movies on YouTube. Now the company is set to offer blockbuster Hollywood movies that will be available with pay-per-view subscription service. It turned out that YouTube is negotiating with a few leading Hollywood studios.

It looks like YouTube has almost the same plans that were introduced by Hulu Plus Ad service for streaming TV shows. As a matter of fact, users will be provided with an opportunity to stream full movies that can be available free from Google ads or with them. The new service will be available in the U.S. and it is expected it will come to the rest of the world.

It will be possible to stream new movies on YouTube in case they are released on DVD also they will be available by means of Amazon plus Apple’s iTunes service.

It is known that Google tries keeping pace of other services when it comes to the distribution of multimedia. It seems like Google is going to make distribution of games as well as games big. Nowadays YouTube is renting out some independent movie titles. So in case it is possible to stream HD movies via YouTube, users will win this situation. But still we have to wait for an official confirmation from Google.

London, Aug 31 : Singer Lady Gaga has confessed she doesn't want to be rich.

The "Bad Romance" hitmaker, who has overspent by more than two million pounds on the North American leg of her 'Monster Ball' tour, says she is not in the industry for the money, reports fashion.ie. 

"I spent every dollar I made on my music, my art. Every dollar. I don't wait to get budgets from the label. I do it on my own. I don't want it in my hand," she said.

Big B harassed by follower on his blog

Amitabh Bachchan was probably the first most sincere celebrity blogger in Bollywood who used the platform to connect with his fans and update them on his activities, thoughts and interact with them regularly. No wonder then that he had innumerable followers who would start their day with reading what the revered Big B had to say.

But apparently there was one errant follower who used the ability to comment on the blog to vent out his negativity. The unrelenting person would even send messages that were downright vulgar on Big B's phone and provoked the star to take corrective measures.

Amitabh Bachchan reported the matter to the authorities and now any attempt from this miscreant would come under legal cyber space action.

Kristen Bell Joins Indie Ballet Black Comedy

Having successfully established herself as a comedic actress in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Kristen Bell is next set to star in the indie ballet black comedy Dance of the Mirlitons, from young screenwriter and director Evan Greenberg.  The story, which Greenberg conceptualized in middle school and finalized while attending NYU, centers on "an ambitious, slightly overweight ballerina with an overbearing mother (Bell) who will stop at nothing to become a star.  The girl enters a "Mean Girls"-type environment when she has to prove her worth in class."

The project was picked up by Warner Independent after landing on the 2005 Blacklist (Hollywood's unofficial list of the top ten unproduced screenplays) alongside Juno and Lars and the Real Girl, but lost traction when the studio division closed down in 2008.  It took Greenberg "a few years" to reacquire the rights to the script, but "once I got the rights back, it was about [finding] the right partner.

Arjun amicably exits Don 2

The news floating for the past week has now been officially confirmed. Arjun Rampal will no longer be part of the cast for the much talked, much-awaited Farhan Akhtar directed Don 2. Earlier today, confirming the news, Arjun Rampal tweeted, "Hey Guys, Yes it is true won't be part of Don 2. Wish the team all the success I am sure it will be a super film".

This question seems particularly apropos considering that Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3” is on the verge of reaching this historic milestone.  Through Tuesday, August 3, the 3-D animated juggernaut has earned $391.5 million in domestic revenue.  So let's break down the time line: with just over $5 million this past weekend and mid-weeks in the $1 million range it will most certainly reach $400 million during the week of August 9.

Los Angeles, Aug 4 (IANS) British model Kelly Brook has once again bared all, this time for a new Reebok advertisement.
