Julianne Moore Will Play Sarah Palin in - Game Change

After a stint on 30 Rock as Jack Donaghy's high school girlfriend revealed Julianne Moore was more than capable of playing people who have accents from interesting places like Boston, it makes sense now that she'd be chosen to play Sarah Palin in HBO Films' adaptation of John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's book, Game Change.

As a chronicle of John McCain's campaign for the presidency in 2008, the book also covers what went into the process of selecting Palin as a running mate and provides insight as to what it was like for McCain to lose the general election to Obama. Surely Moore will do a killer portrayal of the Alaskan hockey mom's mannerisms (one of which in the past has been cradling fish hearts in her hands), but she quite possibly might have to go back to TGS if she's looking to get help in nailing that accent. 

Highest earning reality star

As if Kim Kardashian wasn’t enough of a hot commodity. Kim came out on top in a recent poll of the highest earning reality TV stars. All of the Kardashian sisters arrived snuggly within the top ten, but Kim took the cake. The list was derived from a variety of industry insiders who concluded that Kim’s 2010 take was roughly $6 million. This comes from a variety of endorsement deals, party-hosting gigs, sponsored tweets, and licensing deals with perfume and clothing companies.

I have to go back for one more day of re-shoots - Tom Felton

'Harry Potter' co-star Tom Felton has been called back for 'The Deathly Hallows' re-shoots - for one day, it has emerged. The actor now regrets teasing his co-stars about returning to the set for re-shoots because he will now be joining them to help complete the film. 

"I have to go back for one more day of re-shoots. So I'm going back in a couple weeks to do, literally, one more day," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

"I knew that Dan, Rupert and Emma were called in and I was enjoying that - I was joking that,"Oh, I got it on the first take so I don't need any of that, going back to do it again'. And here I am eating my own words and going back to redo it," he said.

"They just want to get a couple of extra camera shots. I don't think anything was done wrong, they just want to cover it more. It could literally be a case of panning the shot five degrees to the left or whatever just to make sure the CGI shots work. So I''m going to go and serve my duty," he added.

Katy Perry's Honeymoon

Katy Perry has had a rather painful beginning to her marriage as the pop star was bit by a spider on her honeymoon. 

The 'Teenage Dream' hitmaker headed to the Maldives for a romantic break with husband Russell Brand after their nuptials in India on October 23.

But the newlyweds' fun was short-lived. Within days of arriving, the singer developed a nasty rash after a tropical spider sunk its fangs into Perry's leg, reported Contactmusic.

The 26-year-old singer sought medical advice after the spider bite at the couple's plush suite in the Soneva Fushi resort. She was put on a course of medication which is said to have left her exhausted.

You Only Live Once - Katie Price

Glamour model Katie Price has launched her new book ‘You Only Live Once’ and to everyone’s surprise it is dedicated to none other than her ex-hubby singer Peter Andre. But it seems it has left the cage fighter Alex Reid upset.

In her fourth autobiography, the first page is dedicated to Andre,  as it says, Peter took her ‘on a wonderful journey of self-discovery’ and that he turned her ‘from a cocooned chrysalis into the butterfly’.

 "I hope you find the happiness you have always been searching for," she said.

However, Alex was left disappointed as he got his place in the second paragraph with little description.

Kate said: "I dedicate this book firstly to my ex Peter Andre for helping create two of the most amazing people in my life: Junior and Princess.”

 "I also thank him for taking me on a wonderful journey of self-discovery. I've turned from a cocooned chrysalis into the butterfly that I am today," she said.

She also thanked her hubby, Alex and said, “To my beloved husband Alex, who has stuck by me through my torment and darkest hour and respects me for my individuality as I do his.”

My community service is really important to me- said Hilton.

Socialite Paris Hilton has put her partying days behind her to focus on her love life and community service.

The 29-year-old heiress is now keen on giving back to the community via charity, reported Radar online.

"My community service is really important to me," said Hilton. 

"This week I started and we went down and got a bunch of pumpkins at the pumpkin patch and carving tools and paint, candy and a pinata and did a lot of fun things for the kids," she added.

As part of her 200 hours of community service she needs to complete, Hilton will also spend time volunteering at homeless shelters in both Los Angeles and Vegas.

As for her romantic relationship with Cy Waits, she says they are happier than ever.

"I'm so happy. Cy is an amazing man. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life and he is my best friend. We are inseparable, we are always together. I just feel very blessed that I found him," she said.

According to BBC, which quotes internet research company famecount.com, Poker-Face Gaga has 1,002,734,757 views on YouTube. This includes all her uploaded material and not a single video.

She tweeted to almost 7 million followers saying: "We reached one billion views on YouTube little monsters!" And then dubbed them "kings and queens of YouTube".

Lady Gaga has officially become the first person to rack up more than 1 billion channel views on YouTube.

However, the record for highest number of views on a single video is Justin Bieber's single Baby featuring Ludacris, with 367,793,190 views last we checked and the number is steadily increasing.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the 16-year-old is slated to release a fragrance line called My World. Unlike other celebrity fragrances, Justin’s will not come in bottle. Instead, the unisex scent will be infused on wristbands and dog tags. What will My World smell like? The Canadian singing sensation gave the trade mag a hint last week. 

“They actually brought me a bunch of stuff to smell today,” Justin told WWD. “One of them smelled too young, too fruity. One was really good.”

The singer’s scent will hit Wal-Mart stores on November 26.

Akon's new album influenced by different styles of music

Rapper Akon says his new album is influenced by many styles of music he has been exposed to touring across the world.

The 'Sexy Chick' hitmaker drew influence from across the globe to produce 'Stadium' which sees his established hip hop sound mixed with dance beats and influences from as far afield as Japan and India.

'As you grow, you experience different things. You start travelling, you start collaborating with different people and you start experiencing life bigger,' contactmsuic.com quoted him as saying.

Michael Jackson solo music videos get DVD release

Michael Jackson's entire output of music videos are being released on DVD for the first time, including a previously unreleased video of his 2003 single "One More Chance."

Jackson's estate and record label Epic/Legacy Recordings said on Wednesday that the three DVD set of 40 videos covers the singer's career as a solo artist.

Called "Michael Jackson's Vision", it will be released on Nov. 22. The boxed set includes the full length versions of the "Thriller" music video, the Martin Scorsese-directed video for "Bad", "Black and White" and more obscure works including the pop singer's rarely-seen collaboration "Ghosts" with special effects legend Stan Winston.

The video releases are the latest products to be authorized by Michael Jackson's estate. The follow the 2009 concert rehearsal movie "This is It", a planned album of unreleased Jackson music, and a deal with Cirque du Soleil for a Jackson-themed touring show.

Jackson, 50, died suddenly in Los Angeles in June 2009. His personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray is awaiting trial on charges of involuntary manslaughter.

Peter Andre denies dating Kim Kardashian

London, Oct 4 : Singer Peter Andre has dismissed rumours that he is dating Kim Kardashian, although he finds her sexy.
"Rumours keep surfacing about my so-called 'relationship' with Kim Kardashian but I've never even met the girl! At least when we do meet, we'll have something to talk about, though. She's not a bad person to be linked to, given how sexy she is!" contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.

Jenny McCarthy Consulted Therapist After Split From Jim Carrey

Model & actress Jenny McCarthy who once dated Hollywood comedy King Jim Carrey revealed she slipped into severe depression after splitting from the star. The actress admitted that she consulted her therapist in order to deal with her broken heart strongly. 

The pair parted their ways earlier this year after dating for almost five years.

"I went to my therapist. And she had said, 'You know, no matter what, any relationship or marriage that I've had in the past, too, you grieve the loss of the relationship.' There's somewhat of a feeling of failure that you have to mourn of going, 'God, you know, the dreams that you had in your head are, that's all they were, just dreams," she was quoted as saying while appearing at the Larry King's show.

Now it seems that therapy has done wonders on the writer as she is back on dating block, "I am currently seeing someone. I'm calling it very light dating. Nothing too serious.”

'The Social Network'

The story behind the massive social networking site Facebook gets the big-screen treatment with this Columbia Pictures production scripted by The West Wing's Aaron Sorkin. The film will focus on Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg's ladder to the top after creating one of the biggest Internet sensations.

You may have heard critics and advertisers tout The Social Network, David Fincher’s  finger-pointing film about how Facebook was harvested from the halls of Harvard and turned into a billion dollar business, as “the movie of the decade” or “a generation-defining film.” This kind of praise has led the entertainment journalism collective to liken it to true staples of cinema like Citizen Kane and The Graduate. In terms of relevance to its audience, those are fair if overreaching statements. The film depicts its teenage characters with unflinching pragmatism as it weaves the nasty web of deception and betrayal that is the story of the social media juggernaut. In terms of its protagonist’s journey, however, I couldn’t help but compare it to another landmark film: 1974’s Death Wish.

Like Michael Winner’s divisive and controversial revenge flick, the action in The Social Network, as with so many stories, kicks off when anti-hero Mark Zuckerberg loses the leading lady in his life. Luckily, she’s not slaughtered by a pack of petty thugs, but instead liberates herself from her pretentious and pessimismistic beau in the crushing opening scene of the film, which sets into motion a chain of events that will change his life – and the world.

Zuckerberg, played with sardonic wit by rising star Jesse Eisenberg, retreats to his Kirkland Hall haven seeking retribution (see where I’m going with this?). He gets drunk, blogs unfavorably about his ex and creates a program that places female students’ headshots side by side so that inebriated undergrads can anonymously rate them. The site, called Facemash, accumulates so many hits that it crashes the University’s servers, which gets the attention of the school’s cyber-security squad as well as a group of aspiring entrepeneurs. Twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (both played by Armie Hammer), well-to-do, all-American future Olympians, approach Zuckerberg with an opportunity to design a website that they’ve been quietly developing: a social network exclusive to Harvard students. Mark likes the idea, but doesn’t want to be a part of it: he wants the whole thing. If greed is good, then Zuckerberg (though not exactly financially motivated) is great.

The connections between Charles Bronson’s career defining film and Fincher’s soon-to-be-classic movie are, of course, hypothetical. My point is that, like Paul Kersey, Zuckerberg paints a target on his head with his vengeful actions as he breaks the rules of business ethics and leaves his mark on the world. Only after the storm has begun brewing does he realize that he’s in way over his head. The Social Network is more a meditation on right vs. wrong than a chronicle of the birth of Facebook and it is a more affecting film because of that. The courtroom drama that ensues through Fincher’s two-hour masterpiece pulls no punches and asks the questions that we, the audience, are most curious about: Who really started Facebook? How much is the company worth? Fincher explores the historic and meteoric rise of this digital domain delicately, building the tension organically as each chapter gives way to a new series of inquiries during the legal proceedings. Rather than provide a definitive answer. he leaves the audience responsible for drawing its own conclusions.

Though it’s quite different from many of the grim stories Fincher’s told before, The Social Network still conforms to the technical style that defines his work. The dank college dorms and dingy frat houses bring to mind the dreary environments of Panic Room and Fight Club, especially in terms of lighting and color. Quick cuts convey the lightening fast pace in which we consume information in the digital age. The ominous music, composed by Trent Reznor, aids the auteur in expressing the enormity of the situation. Most noteworthy, however, is Aaron Sorkin’s stinging script, which uses tech-speak, legal lingo and slang to tell the tale of sex, lies and limitless fortunes. He brilliantly combines multiple points of view (that of Zuckerberg, his partner Eduardo Saverin and the Winklevosses) of the same events to bring his audience a well-rounded and unbiased account of the events that turned best friends into bitter enemies and bookworms into billionaires.

I believe that, while it will certainly garner numerous award nominations come January, The Social Network’s full impact will not be felt until the generation that it portrays can look back at it in retrospect. It is a very contemporary piece of thought provoking entertainment, but we can’t assume that it defines who we are as a collective community because, like Zuckerberg says of his digital society, we don’t really know what it is yet.

Pamela Anderson is ‘Bigg Boss 4′ contestant???

The latest rumors doing the rounds is that, Hollywood Bombshell Pamela Anderson has being approached to take part in the upcoming reality show Bigg Boss 4 on the Indian television channel, Colors.

Endemol is the production house which produces the show. It also approaches celebs for the same. In 2008, Big Brother star Jade Goody was signed in but had to walk out after she was diagnosed with cancer. In 2009, German model Claudia Ciesla added the extra oomph to the show. This year, the producers are looking forward to take the show to a higher level.

Now, Pamela Anderson, who is pretty famous among the Indian males, is reportedly being wooed.

There is neither any confirmation nor denial from the officials.

If Pamela Anderson is in for the show, then Bigg Boss 4 is up for soaring TRPs.

'The American' Tops Box Office Again

'The American' starring George Clooney leads the Thursday Box Office Rally with $1.47 million in its second day in 2,721 theatres. The film has a total gross after two days of $3.1 million and will find new competition today with the opening of 'Machete' and 'Going the Distance.'

First Place - 'The American' takes the top spot at the Thursday box office with $1.47 million in its second day of release.

Second Place - 'Takers' steals another $1.19 million on Wednesday as the heist film continues to draw mid-week audiences and crosses the $26 million mark.

Third Place - 'The Last Exorcism' scares up another $852k in devil dollars in its seventh day of release and a total of $24.77 million to date.

London, Aug 31 : Singer Lady Gaga has confessed she doesn't want to be rich.

The "Bad Romance" hitmaker, who has overspent by more than two million pounds on the North American leg of her 'Monster Ball' tour, says she is not in the industry for the money, reports fashion.ie. 

"I spent every dollar I made on my music, my art. Every dollar. I don't wait to get budgets from the label. I do it on my own. I don't want it in my hand," she said.
